As CFO my primary role is to ensure the financial and fiduciary accuracy and integrity of the ministry. This includes financial records, fundraising, human resources, policies and procedures and legal compliance. I have a Bachelors Degree in Management from Idaho State University and a Post Baccalaureate Degree in Accounting from Portland State University.

I have twenty years of financial experience including senior level management positions in book publishing, distribution and the agriculture industry.  I also have been on several Boards of Director for Christian nonprofit organizations – typically in the Treasures role.

I am the Mission Chairman in my home church and am involved in ministry with the local Hispanic and homeless communities. The four summer mission’s trips I have participated in have given me a great passion to reach the world for Jesus. My ongoing relationship with DELTA Ministries allows me to continually improve my missions training and leadership skills and facilitates my ongoing involvement on overseas missions.

I have the privilege of serving with DELTA Ministries as a Short-Term Mission (STM) Assistant.  My role is to support team coaches by helping them with the coordinating of individuals and teams.

For more than 10 years, I have been involved with STM’s.  I have served in five different countries in various roles -- both as a “goer” and as a “leader.”  I was also able to help mobilize and plan many other teams while serving at my church in southern California.

I serve as the Executive Assistant to Brian Heerwagen. I was first introduced to DELTA Ministries when I was ten years old back in 1998. My family went to Italy with DELTA in 1998, 2000, and 2002. In 2004 I had the opportunity to go with DELTA to Fiji on another short term trip. After graduating high school in 2006 I didn’t know what I ‘wanted to do with my life’ and I knew that my walk with God needed a major make over. That following winter 2007 I participated in a 5 month long program called a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Salem, Oregon. This was where my already 12 year old relationship with God took root in my life. I discovered more about God than I knew was possible and began to discover the person that God made me to be.

I serve as the Chief Executive Officer for DELTA Ministries. My first short-term mission (STM) ever was on a DELTA (MOP) team in 1980. I continued to go on short-term teams each year. In 1985 I was hired as the director at DELTA. At that time, I was a student at the University of Oregon in the School of Architecture. Though I don't do much with design or building buildings, much of what I learned about strategies, organization and people have helped in my leadership at DELTA. I have learned many lessons over the last 20+ years of involvement with STM. Along with my continued ministry with churches and short-term teams, I do intend to complete a seminary degree.

I serve as the Chief Business Development Officer for DELTA Ministries International. I began serving the Lord with DELTA in 2002. In this role, my focus includes strategic planning, launching new vision, donor relations, discovering funding for vision and communications/marketing.  I have also had the privilege to author Dying to Give published by the ECFA in 2010 and contribute to The Next Mile Short-Term Mission Curriculum.

I received my first undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Regis University in Denver, CO in 1996. My second undergraduate degree is in Organizational Management from Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, CO and an MBA from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA in 2005.

I have the privilege of serving as the Director of International Partnerships with DELTA. International Partnerships (IP) seeks to glorify God through cross-cultural partnerships by equipping and engaging national leaders to mobilize the local church in mission. The focus of IP is to come alongside the leadership of existing mission efforts in other countries for a limited time to assist in developing a church-based model of mobilization and short-term missions by that country for that country. The goal is to equip and engage nationals to execute effective church-based mission efforts through short-term missions and without direct long-term assistance from DELTA Ministries.

I am thrilled to join DELTA Ministries after spending over thirty years in public education. During most of those years I taught middle and high school. After receiving my doctorate in educational leadership, I worked as a high school assistant principal of curriculum, instruction, and assessment, a middle school principal, and district coordinator of professional development. Most of my formal training has been in the area of education. My undergraduate work was in secondary education. I then earned a master’s degree in reading, followed many years later by the doctorate.

Serving as Chief Operations Officer, I oversee the Short-Term Mission Team Process and DELTA’s Missions Coaches, coordinate festival and crusade events and assist the CEO with organizational vision and global aspects of DELTA Ministries International. 

I graduated from Multnomah Bible College in Portland, OR, with a BA in Religious studies in 1986 and have a Masters of Theology from Bakke Graduate School of the Ministry. I served in the local church for 16 years as a youth pastor before beginning my ministry with DELTA.

As Short-Term Missions Director, it is my privilege to serve churches through short-term mission trip preparation and training. The Lord called me to this role through a love for the church and seeing His Body love Him and love others through action as well as words. My first mission trip was as a freshman in college in 1998 and I went to Ensenada, Mexico over Thanksgiving. To this day, I still cannot say what made me decide to go, but it certainly changed me forever.
