Training Teams and Leaders The most effective training for short-term missions is gained  by active learning and not just by watching a video or reading a book. The training process begins roughly four months prior to departure (pre-field) and should continue on field and back home after your return (post-field). We highly recommend using a training curriculum such as The Next Mile for your team.

DELTA realizes that the true success of short-term mission hinges on having quality, committed career missionaries to host them.  We want you to know that all we do as a short-term mission agency is truly field driven.  We wholeheartedly believe in and train each of our teams to be a blessing, not a burden, to those they serve.  To that end we have several tools we would like to offer:

Host Handbook - DELTA has compiled a Handbook in conjunction with veteran career missionaries who have experience in hosting short-term teams.  This Handbook will help you to know how to effectively facilitate a short-term team coming to your field.  If you would like to request this Handbook send us an e-mail with your name and address.
