Customized: Each church and team receives customized preparation, training and services. Intense: A lot happens during DELTA Training.  DELTA's STM Coaches come to your church to challenge, equip and develop character in the team. Interactive: Training is not gained by watching a video or reading a book, but by active learning. DELTA's training includes a variety of team building activities to develop unity and teamwork. DELTA also provides several cross-cultural exercises to simulate some experiences teams face on the field. Informative: Each DELTA Training provides cross-cultural insights to enable the team to minister more effectively.

DELTA Ministries International has over 30 years experience and expertise in training and equipping individuals and churches in missions.  Over this period of time DELTA has trained over 7,000 individuals from hundreds of teams who have ministered in over 91 countries.

The staff at DELTA is available to consult with churches or individuals for a variety of topics on an informal or formal basis including:  short-term, mid-term and long-term missions involvement, purpose and philosophy of missions involvement, resourcing or assisting mission trip planning..

DELTA offers four customized trainings.

Training Options

Training Only - A customized onsite training weekend from an experienced DELTA Ministries Missions Trainer.  Teams will be exposed to various interactive simulations designed to maximize their on-field experience.  Training weekends focus on character transformation, the ABC's of short-term mission, cultural adaptation, team building and evangelism training.  Each team member is provided the following resources:  DISC Personality Profile and Workbook, Spiritual Journal, Debrief Materials and various Missions Resources.

Full Service - A customized and high-touch service that guides church teams through the entire short-term process.  An experienced Short-Term Mission Coach guides each church team through DELTA Ministries' proven Teams Process.  Churches receive pre-trip consultation, customized ministry opportunities, field locations, travel arrangements, field and church coordination, customized onsite training, accidental, medical and evacuation insurance coverage and a team budget.  Each team member is provided the following resources:  Training Manual, T-shirt, DISC Personality Profile and Workbook, Spiritual Journal, Team Members STM Guide, Team Leaders STM Guide and various Missions Resources.

TEAM LEADER TRAINING - The training for Team Trainers will help those who have been designated by their church to prepare their short-term mission teams for the field. Participants in this training examine critical content for training a team as well an effective delivery model. Participants will learn how to help a newly formed team prepare for cross-cultural ministry experience. In addition to core content of building character, team unity, and culture, participants select, lead and debrief experiential activities that will be useful when working with their own church teams.

TRAINING OF TRAINERS - The training for Team Trainers will help those who have been designated by their church to prepare their short-term mission teams for the field. Participants in this training examine critical content for training a team as well an effective delivery model. Participants will learn how to help a newly formed team prepare for cross-cultural ministry experience.
