Missions Coaching

A coach is one who instructs or trains.  Contact a DELTA Missions Coach.

DELTA provides  churches, partner  ministries, schools, team leaders, and host missionaries a personal coach that comes alongside to train and guide them on both general missions and short-term mission endeavors.   A DELTA coach will meet face-to-face, by phone, video or email to equip for excellence

Churches, Christian Schools, and Mission Agencis are taking a more active role in missions, therefore they need coaching to become a Great Commission church or ministry. A Great Commission church or ministry has a strategic missions vision both locally and globally that is owned by constituents through prayer, giving and going.

These are common needs that demonstrate the need for coaching:Asher_Training_1

  1. Trying to figure out what is next for their Mission Team.
  2. A church without a Missions Team.
  3. A desire to develop a strategic missions focus.
  4. Working to develop and effective cross-cultural partnership.
  5. A desire to get more people more involved with missions.
  6. A desire to do short-term missions effectively.

Churches needs are varied, ranging from having no mission team or focus to having a strategic plan, but need an outside coaching voice to make sure they are effective in what they are doing.

Coaching does not come naturally as it requires the ability to listen, assess, and guide church leaders towards a customized plan.  It requires a depth of God’s Word, local church leadership and missions’ experience. DELTA’s STM Coaches have a variety of experiences and training, but we need to make sure they are fully equipped in all aspects of coaching and that each coach can provide a highly qualify coaching experience.

Rather than a one-time or series of events, A DELTA coach will come alongside a local church, school, or ministry for the duration of the coaching process. They will work with their leadership, acting as a guide through a process of discovery of their unique DNA, and help them to identify what they value while developing a vision and plan for how God can use their ministry and its people to accomplish the advancement of His Kingdom.

A DELTA Missions Coach will satisfy the needs of churches and ministries by help to:

  • Understand its purpose.
  • Assessing its current situation.
  • Setting clear goals.
  • Developing a game plan.
  • Training and preparing to implement the plan.
  • Executing the plan.
  • Making mid-game corrections as needed.
  • Assessing the outcome and repeat.

As a result, churches, schools and partner ministries will achieve its desired result, which is a Great Commission church or ministry that has a strategic missions vision both locally and globally that is owned by constituents through prayer, giving and going.
